Hi! I'm Holly Howell...I've been singing as long as I can remember! My first favorite song to belt at the top of my lungs was "Jesus Loves Me" at 3 years old on my toy baby grand piano. I've always been into music, since my high school punk bands, in college I found the Indigo Girls and Grateful Dead. Put my guitar down for a while to have 2 kids. Picked it up again and was blessed with and surrounded by amazing musician friends, inspiration, and support. The current manifestation of my musical self started after being inspired and coached by Caroline Aiken. Its all pretty much unfolded in front of my eyes since then. Songs coming as inspiration comes, life turns, and I choose paths as they call.
Currently, my band is Moon Goddess Cotillion and we just released our debut CD, "Release" on Sound Mission Records. I am blessed to have such a crew of musicians to play with who interpret and turn my songs into our songs so well. Shanti Price, Ben Farmer, Don Whitaker, and Michael Hurwitz.
I am also involved with two other projects, singing harmony vocals. The Ramblers, a Grateful Dead cover band; and Old Custer, with Drew deMan of No River City. Both amazing projects I'm proud to be a part of.
I also am a guest vocalist in the choir for Donna Hopkins upcoming album recently recorded at Tree Sound Studios. I was proud to perform along side Rita Graham, legendary singer who worked with Ray Charles, Ralph Roddenberry Band, Deep Blue Sun, Stop, Drop and Roll.
I love to sing and welcome any opportunities to add to other's musical projects, so please inquire if interested.
I have performed with the following artists: Kevn' Kinney, Donna Hopkins, Trina Meade and Tomi Martin of three five human, Ralph Roddenbery, Ike Stubblefield, Caroline Aiken, Dianne Durett, Charlie Wooten, Natti Lovejoys.
