InfluencesLike many young classical singers, I have more influences than I can name. I tend to favor operatic singers from the 1930s and 1940s. It seems that during this era, the overall operatic style was more natural and singers were extremely well-trained....more so than they are today. Hands down, my favorite singer is the Brazilian soprano Bidu Sayao who made her debut in 1930 at the Teatro alla Scala. She posessed an incredibly natural and delicate gift that I find difficult for anyone to match. Other soprano voices that I have enjoyed studying include: June Anderson, Natalie Dessay, Renee Fleming, Mirella Freni, Cynthia Lawrence, Felicity Lott, Anna Moffo, Anna Netrebko, Birgit Nilsson, Jessye Norman, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Beverly Sills, Joan Sutherland, and Renata Tebaldi. Listening to this music...wow...it's amazing. I really wish more people could hear this. Hmmmm....how can I get more people to hear this music? If only I had some kind of medium. A podcast or shifts at a radio station...

Doh! I have both!

You can't be shy. There's pictures of you in big purple dresses.
