Alexandra Be, drums/percussion- Alexandra Be and Holly played the Triple Door in July 09'. They perform live together around the Eastside and Seattle Area.
I was born and raised in San Jose, California. Growing up I don't remember a time that music was not in my daily routine. From my Father having a garage band and my Mother playing the tambourine singing and dancing, I was bound to soak it all in. In the 1st grade I played , "A Soalin" by "Peter, Paul & Mary", on the guitar, at the school talent show. That experience gave me the confidence and the energy to keep playing, and my love of music is what I believe lit the way. I continued participating in school talent shows through my school years, playing my guitar, piano, drums, to recording my first CD at age 15 with a World Beat band named, "African Rain", Featuring Chapman Stick player, Bob Culbertson, and Grammy Award Winner, Babatunde Olatunji. We played at the "Fillmore West" , "The Palace of the Fine Arts", and many other events, clubs, and wineries in the Bay Area. While still playing in African Rain I was involved in other music projects and began to build my career as a Solo Singer-Songwriter. I played at songwriters showcases, cafes, open mics, bars, festivals, parties and private events . In 1995 I formed a band with my friends and we opened for and shared the stage with "Robby Krieger" of "The Doors" at JJ's Blues, in downtown San Jose. I still can't believe that we did that!
I love music. I love playing my guitar everyday, or as much as my 3 year old son will let me. I started writing songs at a very young age, and continue to write and record my music today. Music has been one of my most available outlets and healer through life. Now I have another source of hope and inspiration, and it's my Son. He has changed me, the way I am, and lucky for me, made me a better songwriter, at least that's why I think.
Thanks for stopping by.

I thought the public should know that these songs on your myspace were all written, recorded, played, and sung by you. You recorded these in your apartment. That is pretty impressive. Great job Holly!! By the way "Wings" is Falans favorite song. He loves that electric guitar. Love and Light
