From a DJ to MC. Once known as Dizasterous, Jon Meyer now known as Hollywood is making a big impact on Florida as well as the south. He is the founder of the NDT Click and Xclusive Recordz, and is now blowing up with Homeboy and fellow artist Thurobred, in their group the "Top Gunnaz". Born and rasied in Hollywood, FL on Febuary, 22, 1987 it is a givin why his name is Hollywood. Since birth Jon was born to shine starting acting at age 5 at the university center for the preforming arts, it proved preforming was in his blood. Jon picked up Hip Hop in 1993 when he heard Tupac Shakur, who he claims to be the greatest Rap Artist of all time. The poetry that he heard and felt from 2pac is what grabbed him into the Hip Hop world that he had once not even thought about taking a glance at. Acting at this time was still a big thing in his life at this time and he was preforming in plays left and right in Davie, FL. Then september, 13th 1996 the worst thing ever happened, Tupac Shakur was declared dead in Las Vegas. Jon began to drift away from Hip Hop after the death of Tupac and began to explore other forms of music. It was then was then at age 10 that he met DJ Max English (to this day is known as one of the greatest) from Germany. Max opened his mind to a new side of music, Techno and Trance. Jon at age 11 after being taught by Max devolped his DJ skills and aquired the name DJ Dizasterous. He started preforming at parties and clubs at age 13 and was known as one of the youngest djs in South Florida. In 1999 the DJ heard a song on the radio that blew his mind, "My name is". It wasn't until then that he heard that Dr.Dre (The greatest producer of all time) signed a white artist, Eminem. Hip hop was now back in his life and in full effect. Eminem opened a new path way inwhich Jon was going to travel down. It wasn't until 2000 that Jon desided to start writing raps. "I felt if eminem could do it I could to." said Jon. "Poetry was always a strong point in my life and I began to put it to music." In 2001 Jon formed a rap group named N.D.T. with original members Smilie (Matt Traver), Lucky Luciano (Thurobred aka Gavin Barker), Lil 9 (9 lyvz aka Mark Hull), Dubie (Illusive aka James Burgos) and Himself, Dizasterous. Their first preformance was at Club Q in Davie, FL. Over time the group evolved and gained more members and eventually became a click, losing member simlie do to creative differences. In 2003 Xclusive Recordz was formed and was in full effect with a studio in Boynton Beach ran by fellow artist and friend Mark Hull aka 9 lyvz. Jon created the label after he worked with creep game for little while and almost got screwed. "I originally created Xclusive to get artist's feet wet in the industry". Hit after Hit NDT and Xclusive Recordz was blowing up to locally. In 2004 Jon competed in Los Angeles, for Acting, Modeling, and Rapping. He did well and met alot of industry people such as Dennis Poore who became his promoter, Rythm D (Producer for Ruthless Records), Dr.Dre, and Chubz from PA, the rapper who he would sign later in 2005. Then in 2005 Jon moved with Mark to California to persue his Music Career as well as his acting career. He also brought out artist Chubz from Chester, PA to work with him. The 3 had dreams of being the best and would stop at nothing to get it. Mark then desided 2 months into it that California wasn't for him and left in early March. Chubz and Jon still hungry desided to stay and fight it out. They moved to the ghetto in North Hollywood on Lankershim Blvd. with Chubz's homeboy Coach from PA also. After 2 months Chubz and Coach bailed for reasons not to be discussed leaving Jon alone with best friend since kindergarten Henry Trock. Jon began to hang out with members of 18th street, one of the biggest mexican gangs in the world. Life started to drift away in Cali, Trouble and Violence was now two strong points in Jon's life. Eventually he was kicked out of his apartment for Gang Relation, Drugs (Weed), and Noise Complaints. With No car, No place to live, No money...Jon was now homeless. "Being kicked out moms house and being kicked out of my apartment in cali were to extremely different things. When I was kicked out at home I had a place to go to a friends house or family, but in Cali I had no one". said Jon"When your homeless you look at life and people in different way. Survival is the number one instinct and I did anything possible to survive". Jon is now back in Hollywood, FL and after goin from Hollywood to Hollywood and back and is now know as Hollywood thanks to his homeboy Thurobred. "I was hanging with Gavin (Thurobred) one day and he just looked at my tattoo (954 Hollywood, located on his wrist) he said I should go by Hollywood and I did. I retired the name Dizasterous and opened a new chapter in my life"
