They are rockers pure and simple. Fresh and unadulterated, Hollywood way is a four piece modern rock band with metal undertones formed in southern California in November of 2008. Their musical mission is nothing short of world domination.
Front man Thomas Madsen sears ears with a blend of volatile screams and liquid harmonious vocals which convey a discerning sincerity. Upon singing happy birthday to an audience member at an American Idol taping, Randy Jackson told Thomas, "Nice vocals dog".
Guitar duties are shared by perfectionists Dustin Todd and Andre Dubois. Todd, originally from West Virginia, studied jazz and classical guitar at Fairmount University, and West Virginia University. He brings grooving depth personified by eclectic layered rythms attached to raw crunchy licks; while lifelong musician and Maine native, Dubois, injects east coast grit and piercing purity through staunch intricately mesmerizing riffs that rock and resonate like no other.
Anchoring the band on drums, implementing mathematical mad scientist precision, is southern California native Spencer Brock. The son of former "The Babies" and "Rod Stewart Band's" drummer Tony Brock. Spencer played in the band Three Tears who would become Hollywood Undead, and once played with 1980's icon Rick Springfeild. Spencer mercilessly crushes the drums providing calculated authority and a resounding maturity.
The band cites influences such as Incubus, Alien Ant Farm, 311, Anberlin, Finch, Chiodos, and Led Zepplin. They currently cater to their ever growing fan base by rocking out numerous venues in the Hollywood area, and continuously stay sharp in the studio laying down tracks and plotting and planning for their inevitably bright future.
