Holmskillit began his career in Hip Hop Music as a breakdancer named BJ Rock, in Cincinnati Ohio. While making his way through the Cincinnati public school system he developed his craft as a MC. Battling in neigborhood streets, rockin talent shows & family gatherings earned BJ a reputation as a jewel of the queen city. After a series of open mics and demo recordings, Holmskillit hooked up with TVT/Blunt recording artists MOOD. As a member of the WannaBattle Collective he worked along side Hi-Tek, Jahson, J. Rawls, Crunch EX, Piakahn as well as many others. Recording under the names Holmskillit, BJ, and Brian Digby Jr., he has blessed a series of internationally released 12" and LP's. The hard work and focus has blessed him with the chance to share the stage with the likes of BlackStar (Kweli & Mos Def), Common (Bond Hill Crew), Brand Nubian, Dead Prez, Boot Camp Clique and many others all over the world. Back home in Cincinnati, BJ Digby aka Holmskillit has selected & been selected for projects to help round out 2007...be on the look out for projects with J. Rawls and more!
