*** Hailed as one of the top 3 performances at Glastonbury Festival '07 : "Electo-pop perverts Holy Fuck make a noise as abrasive as it is awesome ... these dark disco droogs thread every sound under the sun through their electric playground of wires. They come on like the nastiest electronic band since Suicide, or like the The Fall reworking their brains with screwdrivers, or Add N to (X) playing speed metal. They're the kind of band that could hoof a hangover to kingdome come, or wring the neck of a banal main stage performance." NME Magazine
“…We joined the entranced crowd and and swiftly got lost in Holy Fuck's otherworldly backdrop video and all of the previously unseen worlds of multi-layered psychedelic mayhem it was revealing. Combine that with the Holy Fuck foursome's pummeling funk bass, rollicking drum-kit and fire-hazard-like tables of wires and effects, and you were looking at two instantly catapulted heads full of rhythm and psych. “ Eye Magazine
“You will have the contours of your brain worn down by shards of liquid magma noise and you will embrace every second with the grin of a baby that has just discovered its feet at the end of its legs.” New-Noise.net UK
“Holy Fuck blasted out opulent streams of saturated melody, clouds of glitter and confetti, nitrous-boosted dance dynamics…Holy Fuck set the bar awfully high.” Pitchfork Media

Nice to meet you! NxEW.ca (North by East West) is a group blog covering Canadian music. At this point we have 116 writers covering 34 Canadian cities in 10 provinces and 1 territory and even a few people outside of Canada (still covering Canadian music). We hope to add many, many more contributors in our ongoing effort to bring together Canada's varied music scenes in one place to share ideas and information, to talk about what's going on locally and what's going on nationally. For details on who should join us visit nxew.ca/join.html. If you think you might want to contribute read this. Even if you are involved in the 'music business' (musicians, managers, promters etc.,) you are more than welcome. (details here.)

That was a great set at The Harbourfront Centre. A showy rapturous
style involving synchronous mallet-led percussion, twisting knobs and
pounding at keys, with a sound falling somewhere in between
psych-fueled electronica and instrumental rock. This spaced-out
propulsive onslaught adds a whole new meaning to the term ‘expletive’.
I feel like such a loser that I only caught your last song cause I was getting high and watching mimes outside. They had sparkly things!!! But really, you guys are wicked :)
