we started playing together as friends in the summer of 2005. we've had several band names. after almost a year playing fast downtuned hardcore songs, we changed paces and started writing slow material. we also settled on a name, IRON TEETH.
soon after this event, jeff left us and we continued on as a four piece. we wrote several songs some short and mid paced, some long and slow. we tried to be an early dischord band ripping off old man gloom as hard as we could. we played shows with any touring heavy act we loved and could get on the bill for.
miraculously, we "signed" to an indie label out of seattle to do a 7". we were so stoked. we started writing as much shit as possible.
the label never came to fruition due to a bad accident and lack of funds as a result. nobody's fault and no blame games, we're still great pals with the guy who signed us. he's a sweetheart.
disheartened but not ready to quit, we kept playing, and eventually recorded a few songs with our friend joel in his basement. you are listening to 3 of those songs unless you hit the stop button.
we continued to play. we became the house band for the davenport (RIP). we sold 10 demos tops. we sold even less of our inverted cross t-shirts.
after playing the same songs for months, we started to write some more songs. we wrote 2 more songs that never were recorded. we then played some more.
after a while, we started to attempt to get into the mode of writing again. nothing ever got written from this point. after bickering too much and lack of interest, we decided to stop.
while we're no longer playing as iron teeth anymore, all four of us decided that the only real way we could continue playing together in a band was to do something different. we then got back together with our dear friend, former HFC/iron teeth guitarist, and current guitarist jeff grey to form HOCKEY FIGHT. thanks to everyone who cared. if you read this, not only am i shocked, but flattered. cheers.
Hallöchen wollen nicht stören! Aber wir haben vor Kurzem ein paar neue Songs aufgenommen! Wenn du also Zeit und Lust hast, hör doch mal rein Rock'n Roll on :-)
Happy to shock and flatter. Still bummed I won't be able to hear the tunes live again, but as long as you guys play together thats whats important. Who Drank the Wine sent a chill down my spine each time I heard it.
