This album was endorsed by many Black music authorities, including the Stax Museum of American Soul and VIBE Magazine. The song "GODS GOT MY BACK" scored a 90.9% quality rating in a survey of domestic and overseas album purchasers. Mike Calhoun a founding member of Motown's Grammy Award Winning, Legendary Dazz Band is the musical genius behind this album. Mike Calhoun is known all over the world for his brilliant talent as a Guitarist, Songwriter and Producer. The "God's Got My Back" album captures the Essence of Mike Calhoun, and features great vocalist that compliment Mike's vocals and music beautifully through out the album. Mike's 2007 album titled, "IN BLUE" was a magnificent genre busting (R&B, Funk, Country, Dance) collection that received international critical acclaim as it showcased the powerhouse skills of a superstar at work. Mike was presented with a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Platinum Membership in 1994 at the opening of the facility, and played in the All Star band formed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was awarded for his song writing & playing with the DAZZ BAND. With the DAZZ BAND they achieved success and winning a Grammy for the hit single "Let It Whip" Mike Calhoun is a versatile songwriter and guitar player who was influenced by many stellar rock guitar players that came out of the late sixties / early seventies such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Phil Keaggy, and Joe Walsh. That influence led him to become a great talent mentored by the likes of Marvin Gaye and Phillip Bailey (Earth, Wind, And Fire) and worked with Stevie Wonder and other great talents. As one of the primary writers for the DAZZ BAND, he wrote the hit "Invitation to Love" and co-wrote "Knock Knock", "Shake It Up", and "Freaky Loving". Over the years Mike has continued to pump out quality material writing and producing for artist like Cozette Morgan, up and coming hip-hop artist E&J, and playing guitar and producing with mega Producer Phatty Banks for (Capitol Records) artist Young Ray, Keeping his skills sharp mike has been playing lead guitar with Reggae Funk Hip Hop Band The Flex Crew.
