homebrew noun - beer or other alcoholic drink brewed at home
hootenanny noun - an informal gathering with folk music and sometimes dancing
What do these two have to do with each other. They each bring a craft back to the people. Back to the community. And that's what we do every year with the Homebrew Hootenanny. It's a night for people to come relax and enjoy themselves with folk music and homebrews. It's a night for homebrewers to come see what people think of their beer. It's a night where we can help out our community and have fun while doing it.
3RD ANNUAL HOMEBREW HOOTENANNY
WHAT: Folk music, homebrews, southern cooking, workshops, and more!
It's the Homebrew Hootenanny and each year volunteers organize and coordinate the show, bands donate their time, and homebrewers donate their drinks for everyone to enjoy. We put these events on to raise awareness and raise funds for local non-profits and community organizations. For the past two years we raised money for the Madratz Infoshop and George Sossenko (local veteran) for his book.
