Home Cookin’ offers up a tasty serving of bluegrass and traditional country music. In addition to many original tunes, the band draws from traditional bluegrass artists like Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, the classic country roots of Hank Williams Sr. and Buck Owens, and even more diverse sources such as Santo & Johnny and the Beatles. This interesting choice of material is served with tight vocals and hot picking.
The recipe for Home Cookin’ combines Joe Merlino (dobro, vocals / Pittsgrove, NJ), John Apicella (banjo, vocals / West Windsor, NJ), Bill Salmons (bass, vocals / Little Egg Harbor, NJ), Linda Rouse Salmons (guitar, vocals / Little Egg Harbor, NJ).
Home Cookin’ is based in southern New Jersey and performs throughout the eastern US.
