To be able to write freely is the sort of honour that comes rarely in any man's life, let alone mine. So the fact that Harry writes blogs is rarity of a rare order. Halley's comet seems like a blasted nuisance in comparison.
About me:
What ho everyone,
Welcome to my light hearted MySpace spot. I am a chap with a passion of the 1930s and 1940s. My wife (Edna) and I also perform 20th century social history under the name of Home Front Friends.
We also like to attend the odd retro event, especially lindyhop swing dances, retro festivals and historical venues. As well as wearing clothes which are a little out of date. Well all I say is it was fasionable about 60 years.
Anyway do pop along to our website and see what young Edna and I are up to!

Who I'd like to meet: All you wonderful people, creating a little bit of vintage in cyberspace and Demetra Plakas of course.
Sorry Harry, seem to have got lost in some sort of time warp! Think our first outing will be Severn Valley Railway where I will be running the 40s house, with my friends and Mark will be on Home guard duties. xxx
Yes plane unexpectedly did a victory role too close for my liking! Thanks for the itinerary. There are a couple we'd like to go to. I'm definite for September's Gunpowder Mills. The other we're looking at is Ikeworth House. After 3 years of trying, we finally brought in a professional to rescue our lawn -will now be ready for our annual Colonial Garden Party! Wishing you all well at the merry household in Stony Stratford.
Hi Harry. Lovely to hear from you - hope you are now recovered from your cold. What have you got planned next for 40s?? I am always interested to hear what you all get up to . Shirley xx
it was awful! I forgot my CD and hair pins so I couldn't do my quiff/rolls and then the toilet overflowed flooding the dressing room with 'you know what'! Lets hope for a sweeter slumber tonight lol! XXXX
Just remembered, my Mum used to swear by blackcurrant tea (big spoonful of jam & boiling water!!!!) well anything is worth a try. I am going to make some now. Shirley xxx
Aww Harry tis a royal shame indeed! even a pin-hole camera would have done! Ho-hum, well it seems that I will be off to jolly Old Brum in May to do the piccies...wish me luck !
