We used to watch tv, our lives were consumed with coming home from work and then sitting in front of the television, watching the depressing news. Not any more. We watch movies occasionally.

My father. He had so much patience rasing five children. He passed away at 84 years old and at his funeral, we were in shock to find out how many professional and charitable organizations he had volunteered his time for and was actively involved till he passed away. He was an active member in his church and community while we were growing up and he always had time for me.
About me: Two years ago my wife and I were both working at great jobs. Kathy was the Membership Director for a top end private country club until the club was sold and everyone was let go. She then was offered an opportunity with a large company as an Operations Marketing Manager which also had a high end salary. The working conditions along with the long hours were brutal and within one year her position was eliminated. I have been a teacher for the past 27 years and although the salary has always been reasonable and consistent, we both decided we deserved something more. Losing her income, coupled with the fact that we are approaching retirement age, was not a wakeup call – but a wake up siren. The sad reality was that we would not be able afford to retire anytime soon.
We are now working on our dream, enjoying our grandchildren, and are no longer dreading having no retirement plans. We look forward to sharing this with anyone else who needs to TAKE CONTROL of their lives and who want to enjoy financial freedom.
Who I'd like to meet: Like minded individuals that want a better way of life. Self starters who are not afraid to believe in their success.
