Honest Iago formed in San Diego early in 2005. They play something like punk, and used to constantly switch members and instruments so that every show would be unique. They've also played with a few visual artists. Their debut full-length, Straight On 'Til Morning, will be released on September 22 after nearly four years of writing and recording.

Listened to all your tunes, guys. I'm not sure how much detail you'd like me to go into. For one thing, whether you're sick of hearing it by now or not, I do hear the Rise Against influence. Also, I can tell you're coming from a sincere place with your shit, which is half the battle. That said, I think the beautiful pain that you've tapped into to a certain extent so far could be accentuated even more. Your tunes are on the borderline of making me want to kill myself (figuratively speaking); I think you'll cross that borderline with time and become even better. Anyway, that's my two cents. Take personal nothing negative that I've said and everything positive that I've said. Let me know next time you're in LA, and we'll get together to jam if you like.
"Adeline" 's instrumentals are super sexy. Vox make it bad ass. 8)
"Less Martial Law, More Martial Arts" is a super dope song. I can see why it has the most plays. Originals always impress us fans. "The static screams, the frequencies remain...I was right, and I was right." So stellar!! :D
"If Capitalism Doesn't Kill Me..." starts off super bad ass!!! Its' definitely different than your other songs, but variety is good my friends.

2 winners on each night of the prelims will advance to the finals to be held at Canes in Mission Beach on Thursday August 13th.
Each contest will be held at Brick By Brick at 1130 Buenos Ave. San Diego CA 92110. The Brick By Brick is a 21+ venue. The dates of the prelims are Wednesday 7/8, 7/15, and 7/22. Minors can perform but can only enter the club for their set up, and performance, then must leave the club. Under no circumstances will minors be allowed to watch the performance.
