Say the words "Honey Brown", and other words like sweet, smooth, rich, seductive, and natural come to mind. These words are also used to describe my soulful, vocal and creative lyrical style. My music embodies the heart and soul of all my inspirations, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Phyllis Hyman ,Patti labelle, Mary J. Blige, Babyface, and acclaimed song writer Diane Warren, just to name a few. Spending most of my time in the studio honing and perfecting my skills as a writer, producer, and vocalist; Ive been blessed to work with several acclaimed producers like Skrapp on Never Again as well as some of today's top artists. I was recently honored by the Las Vegas music awards for Songwriter of the year 2006.
My debut album is sure to take listeners through a myriad of experiences that someone from almost every age group, background, and demographic can relate to. Music is supposed to heal, inspire, set the mood as well make you bob your head and move your feet, my debut album will definitely consist of songs that everyone could relate to and appreciate no matter who you are or where your from. I am determined to take my place among those talented songbirds whose songs touched the heart and soul of every listener. I write what I've experienced. It just flows. My music is just an extension of who I am.
