   About HONEYCUBE
HONEYCUBE Honeycube are an alternative rock band from Lewisham, South East London. Band members are Jon-Pierre Robinson, Nick Capocci, George Latham and Andy Kirk. Jon-Pierre and Nick have been playing guitar together since they left school, teaming up with drummer George in 01 they then recruited bassist Andy in 07 and have been slaying London crowds with their ultra high energy, focused power pop grunge ever since. Take the ride which is their debut album and you'll soon see why! With influences ranging from Dinosaur Jr, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Pearl Jam, Pavement, Hendrix and Nirvana. Honeycube have been described as Ballroom Grunge and a band powered with all the anxiety, recklessness and grease of a Gumball Rally.

"catchy and infectious... it soon becomes clear that the craftsmanship of these songs belie the punk insensibilities that are to influence. There are no scruffy fade outs or lacklustre intros - every song starts and ends with well measured and often surprising capitulation... keeps you listening to the end... There are plenty of angry songs here with bile, blood and sweat but not too many tears." Gravity Guide

"plenty to cram in... with the hooks to impress serious musos and the melodies to keep the floating fans happy - they have clearly a lot of talent and ideas they want to show off.... filled with experimental sounds, excellent choruses and energy, this is a debut filled with promise." Kerry Eustice (News Shopper)

"The twin vocals and very energetic riff driven punky songs kick a fair old amount of butt here..with a hint of Bloc Party's tandem guitar work, this has wired post punk cool throbbing throughout. Ever so exciting sound these Honeycubers have... Pavement meets The Stooges?!" Bugbear

Honeycube's debut album is released on MHM October 5th!

you know what, that film sounds deadily familiar but it's going back a few years - will try and hunt it out though, that and Honey I Shrunk The Kids - gotta love the 80's, haha.
you pulling my leg about the cello (i'm a bit gullable ya see), if you're not, there's another reason to buy the album, incidently, now that I can afford it (gotta love the 3-5 day cheque clearance), is there anywhere else I can buy it other than at a gig?
