HONEYDUST is a rock and roll act based out of Marin County,
California (just north of San Francisco). Their sound and high energy live show is a breath of fresh air for all true rock fans. With the raw dinge of Crazy Horse, the dueling southern harmonies of The Alman Brothers and The Black Crowes and the classic song craftsmanship of Led Zeppelin, they mesh together many styles and genres to deliver a new sound that is unlike any other.
Darren Nelson is the songwriter, singer and guitarist who leads the band with powerful and heartfelt lyrics about love, life, fast cars, guns and whiskey. Hailing from western MA, he left his home in the back woods in 1997 to persue his passion for “the song.” He’s played thousands of shows coast to coast but most of his success has been in the Bay area. He puts 110% into every performance capturing the true lost art of showmanship.
Danny Uzi plays lead guitar and sings back ups. Besides playing with HD, he is most recognized for his role as frontman in the swamp rock sensation Chrome Johnson. Danny has toured the country many times and has done his share of European tours as well. Playing guitar since the age of two, he is amazing to experience everytime he steps on stage.
Jonathan Korty is the keyboardist/ harmonica player and has been turning heads in the Bay area for the past fifteen years with his award winning band Vinyl. His music has been featured on Comedy Central’s “South Park”, MTV’s “Real World”, and Sony’s “Gameplay” video series among others. In 2006 he starred as Hershel Tambor Brillstien lll in Les Claypool’s (Primus) directorial debut, “Electric Apricot: Quest for Festeroo” producted by National Lampoon. When behind his B3 keyboard he conjours the vintage tones and style that made rock and roll what it is today.
Mike Weiss plays the upright and electric bass and sings back ups. He has played in numerous bands throughout the bay area for almost 20 years. From indie folk to heavy metal, and punk to country, Mike’s approach to playing the bass is not to be flashy. It’s about being simple, powerful and precise. “I’ve always considered myself a bass player, but it wasn’t until I started playing with Honeydust that I considered myself a true musician.”
Lee Ray Bittner is the drummer and percussionist. He started playing drums at the age of 12. Originally inspired by his dad (the drummer for Big Brother and The Holding Company), he learned all the classic rock music of Elvis and the Beatles. Soon after he drifted towards the harder edge music of heavy metal to satisfy his growing passion of the drums. Lee started to gain recognition as a sought after drummer playing the college circuit while going to school in Chico, CA . After school and some traveling around he wound up back home in Marin County with the teachings of Jazz and Prog. rock. His playing is thoughtful, as well as being intricate and thunderous.

If interested call me, Kirby. THANKS, and keep rockin.
Hey Man, Life is great I'm living it up as much as I can. Jen and I just got back from a rather insane few days in Las Vegas. We were planning a July trip to Marin but since Tina moved to L.A. were just trying to save enough dough to get a hotel or a pretty campsite with showers near San Francisco, wich may take a while. Hopefully late August early september, I'll let you know as soon as we figure out our stay. I hope everything is going good with you as well as Christine. Let me know what's been going on with you.
