Sounds Like
"...a dreamy organ sequence transports us into Marie-Pascale's not-quite-here, not-quite-right state of mind.
...and the following lines are all goosebumps and heartbreak."
Ian Watson, How Does It Feel To Be Loved.
Quebec City, August 2007. Just before leaving Canada for London, Marie-Pascale feels the urge to write songs.
Led by her musical intuition and her lack of virtuosity, she composes spontaneous quirky pop songs with charming melodies.
London, February 2008. 'Honey Pine Dresser' was born when MPH met the visionary Rob and Becky the fascinating cellist. Later, they asked Sally the Lovely to play bass. Simon was bribed with smarties.
We recorded the demos on this page in Rob's bedroom. Sometimes using only one mic for everything. Rob has trouble remembering to tune the bass guitar.
The recording here of 'Kiss Me Right on Target' is from our first gig as a full band. Brixton Jamm, roundabout 8:15pm, Wednesday 9th July 2008.
