'Rising Up' (Album) - Release Date: Out Now
Following their recent Top 40 successes with ‘Numb’ and ‘Fly Away,’ their Radio 2 play-listed tracks ‘Choices’ and the Roy Orbison cover ‘Love In Time’, the band are looking forward to releasing the hugely catchy pop track ‘Rising Up’ that was a massive success on their Will Young tour support slot last year.

The main mix of the track is a collaboration between the band and emerging remix outfit Fat Buddha, and is accompanied by a Monty Python inspired video. The Python team celebrate their 40th anniversary this October, where they will receive a special award at the Baftas in New York. Martyn from Honey Ryder cites ‘The Life Of Brian’ as one of his all time favourite films.
Honey Ryder have chosen to sail their own route through the music industry. They are a totally independent act in every sense using 'out of the box' thinking to take their product to market. They are one of the UK’s hardest working bands and have achieved success through sheer graft and determination.
They have funded their promotion through selling shares in their future profits (and have attained EIS status which gives potential investors a host of tax benefits). High profile investors include former Global Head of EMI, Eric Nicoli and founder of Caffe Nero, Paul Ettinger. The band has so far raised, completely on their own, an impressive sum of over £250,000 to fund their promotional campaign. The album has been produced by Goldust (Natasha Bedingfield, Bryan Adams) and mixed by Brad Gilderman (Outkast, Madonna) and Bob Kraushaar (Pet Shop Boys, Elton John).
The band have recently played to over 200,000 people across 50 live dates, taking in venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall, and performed in front of 10 million viewers on BBC TV for Children in Need alongside The Script and Enya. International deals have followed after shows at SXSW (in Texas), Midem and Canada, and they have secured deals in SE Asia, Canada and Japan, with several other territories heavily courting them.
The band are proving to have a fast-growing fan base - including the likes of Annie Lennox, Terry Wogan and Janice Long. Wogan has called Honey Ryder “mean, moody & magnificent”, while Long has already had the band in for a 2nd live session on her Radio 2 show.
