   About Honeytrap
Honeytrap first cast adrift on the murky waters of the Midlands some time in the mid twenty-hundreds. It wasn't long, however, before her brightly coloured sails were spotted as far away as New York, Norway and Japan. Over the course of their travels, the crew acquired a curious cargo of sounds, varying from klezmer to country to garage punk. They gained the admiration of many, including Duke Bowie, and the patronage of the mighty Tough Love Records Trading Company. A school of glittering releases began leaping in their wake, including the EP 'Let's Do Naked Dancing' and the album 'Follies in Great Cities'.

Now, with a fresh coat of paint, suitably inflated sails and undoubtedly the sharpest crew to have ever manned the greasy decks, Honeytrap is sailing the crest of a wave on her continuing quest to bring riotously demented indie-folk to your fun-starved shores.

You can see us perform a few songs *au natural* (out of doors that is. not naked. sorry) at rather excellent edinburgh-based music blog, Off The Beaten Tracks alongside Malcolm Middleton, Frightened Rabbit and Slow Club.

"their music is dark, demented, and deliberate, characterized by murky, lo-fi, feedback-drenched guitars and sludgy rhythms that heave like a spluttering locomotive – gloom-laiden, world-weary vocals, conjuring up hints of Codeine, Flipper, and Pavement.
" The Big Takeover

"In an intimate Soho club, Tenebrous Liar make a stand for mavericks everywhere.
The rotating members, centred around mouthpiece Steve Gullick, tailor their exquisite avant-garde Americana to suit the occasion, with a living music that fills every corner of the room" NME

you were amazing too. Especially the song that David Bowie cast his milky white eye across and declared a work of wonder. We always thought he had a good ear, now we know it to be fact.

Much love,
