We were delighted and very touched when a friend of ours discovered
a magnificent fan-video to our song to - "EMOTION" on the internet!
Not long ago we were finally able to locate the illusive artist that created this
spectacular music-video! He reflects the song like a mirror image
by creatively splycing footage of the silent film classic METROPOLIS!
All the scenes are correspon rythmicly to the tracks's beat as well
as Lyricsal content!
Coincidentally the visions of Metropolis-like society were quite clearly
appearing in my head as soon as I started the first LINE :) ...
(I made one of those obscure references to an old time favourite Italos greats:
Doctor's Cat "ANDROMEDA" by lyrics "Machine with Human face".)
It all came together perfect...I really wanted to words to reflect the instrumental
musical composition that we finished ...
The the video by ORACLE ARION is truly reflecting the imagery that was
going through my stream of consciousness (or perhaps stream of Subconscious.)

HONG KONG COUNTERFEIT (HKC)
Hong Kong Counterfeit was formed in the late 90's. At the time, John was working
on his debut EP "SEX OFFENDER" for release on INTERNATIONAL DEEJAY GIGOLOS,
under the name "INFORM3R", and DJ KATYA CASIO was werking on various art projects
including graphics for the label.
Before Katya and John joined the Gigolos the label was using a photo of ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
flexing as their logo. As the record label was gaining more and more exposure and popularity, their front-man
DJ HELL was facing a cease and desist lawsuit from his idol and aspiring California governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER (for unauthorized use of his photos). To resolve the situation Katya & Johnny
quickly created the first in a series of innovative new logos which kept the integrity and familiarity of the well-liked
body builder's flexing pose, but added a twist of Pop Art! HKC's designs became some of the most popular Gigo-Logos:
- Flexing Bodybuilder with Ziggy Stardust Graphic
The logo that shook things up! It's first appearance was on The Sex Offender EP, Gigolo 53 in stimulating neon pink
and blue. It was accompanied by the label's first color sleeve for an EP. This signaled in the ushering of a new era
of Sound & Vision that changed Deejay Gigolo's direction. This ubiquitous logo would eventually find it's way onto many
pieces of merchandise including stickers, pins, DJ slip mats, record bags and even a table! Which are still available from the

- Flexing Bodybuilder with Sid Vicious Graphic
Continuing down the path of mixing unlikely bedfellows, Sid Vicious found his head safety pinned to a muscular flexing body.
A crowd of muscular Sid's first greeted you from the cover of Gigolo Compilation Number 5. Portrayed in a
silkscreened-like manner done in Warholian colors. Sid went on in various forms as the labels image for quite some time.
- Flexing Amanda Lepore
In just a few months Hong Kong Counterfeit also introduced the record company to their latest muse; AMANDA LEPORE, who
now graces their many releases in the classic "Arnold" pose! Katya asked Amanda to come to Berlin with HKC to star in the
music video for the dance-hit "Sunglasses at Night" by TIGA (since DJ/Artist Tiga was not able to come to Berlin at the time for
the shooting of the video).
Via Gigolo Records HKC got introduced to DJ MOONER (the co-founder of Zombie Nation) who after his success
with the International smash hit, "Kernkraft 400" went on to creating his own Record Label, "ERKRANKUNG DURCH MUSIQUE" (EDM)! EDM released HKC's seminal EP METAL DISCO in 2000 which came out as
a glitzy looking picture disc, with Katya gracing Sides A & B. Fusing retro-futuristic cover art with the sounds of vintage
analogue synthesizers and a post modernist approach (the album also featured a remix by friends: LEGOWELT vs. ORGUE ELECTRONIQUE). Soon after, the release was followed-up by a number of singles in Europe
and USA (i.e. LASERGUN RECORDS, EMPEROR NORTON RECORDS, THROBDISK, S.H.A.D.O. ELECTRO) and a number
of compilations. Most notably; "DISCO NOUVEAU" (Ghostly International), & "KAPITAL NYC" (Universal France),
"STATE OF SYNTHPOP" (A Different Drum). HKC's tracks have graced high fashion runways as well the most underground
dance-floors and the darkest seediest clubs. Their songs have been remixed by such esteemed artists as SAVAS PASCALIDIS,
KITBUILDERS, Johana of LE TIGRE, MAN PARRISH, CAPRI, TAMPOPO, DAVID CARRETTA, JOHN SELWAY, and DJ ULYSSES.
Hong Kong Counterfeit's single "Emotion" was featured on L'Oreal's promotional CD-ROM for their "Matrix" product line.
In between touring Germany and Switzerland the band returned to NYC to work on new material for their singles on
MEMORY BOY Records, and also to work on remixes & side projects. They would take time out periodically flying to Europe
to play live in Spain, Italy, Belgium, and France to play festivals or other events. In their time of touring they have played
many memorable venues and events: Club MATRIX Zurich, DOUR Festival, Le Lieu Unique Music Festival Nantes,
Electrotation Munchen, WMF Berlin, METRO Chicago, Great American Music Hall SF, SPA New York, ELECTRO-ROCK Festival
Cordoba, BLONDIE Santiago and ElectroGlam Val Paraiso.
After releasing the full length CD "PARADISCO" in Italy Katya & Johnny decided to put out an LP for their US audience. "COUNTERPARTS" was the result! Released by Miami's KINETIK MEDIA Records. The album was a combination
of brand new material with songs from the "PARADISCO" CD, plus singles previously only available on vinyl. A few months later KINETIK MEDIA Records decided to release "COUNTERPARTS" LP on vinyl for DJs and vinyl aficionados! Kinetik Media
also released John's solo CD TOTAL MACCHINA "DREAM MACHINE" (featuring the song "Valley Of The Kings" previously
released on LASERGUN + new material).
While preparing the tracks for the next full lenght album HONG KONG COUNTERFEIT released several singles and collaborations:
