General

I am starting to get into photography. It's hard not to be inspired while surrounded with such beauty. The following are just some samples of my pictures. I'm no professional but I have a lot of fun. I'm hoping to learn a lot more about photography and improve. Be sure and let me know what you think.

Music
If you were to go through the cd's in my car disc player you would find a wide variety. Toby Mac, Jonas Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, Three Doors Down, Michael Buble, Wayne Toups, Red, and BarlowGirl are generally on rotation. I also love country and classical music and am developing a taste for Hawaiian music.The only thing I really don't like is rap. I'm really not sure why but I have found very little of it that I really enjoy. You can always try and convince me though. I'm open to new things. ..
Movies
My favorite movie has to be Gone With the Wind. I like a lot of different movie genres, but I can't really get into horror films. I love action, suspense and romantic comedies the best.
Television
My likes are always changing. I love watching Food Network and wishing I could cook like they can. I have a lot of things I like but end up mostly watching whatever my son watches.
Books
I love to read and will read almost anything, it just has to be semi-interesting. Mary Higgins Clark is one of my all time favorites. I think I've probably read all but two or three of her books. I love cheesy romance novels for a quick no brainer. I also really enjoy reading fiction books that are set in war times. My favorites are generally set in the WWII time period.
Heroes
My heroes are my husband and the other soldiers that risk their lives daily for my freedom; All of the military spouses out there that are trying to make their families work despite so many stresses on them; the wonderful ladies from my last church that I have the pleasure of calling my friends; and my mother in law who has been such a good friend the past 10 years.

There's not too much you need to know about me. I'm Jen, a 30 year old mom to a wonderful 8 year old boy. I have been married to the love of my life for 9 years and hope to stay that way for many years to come. We have traded the warmth and beauty of paradise for the plains of Kansas. Cole and I are doing well. I am kinda concerned. He has an Easter egg hunt at daycare this week, and all I see it leading to is bloodshed, LOL. He such a little gangsta, I'm afraid he's gonna beat up some other kids and jack their eggs. LOL.

It went well. The Army kind of screwed us over at the last minute though so we had to rush things & move ourselves. They wanted to charge us almost $3000 bc we weren't shipping to our home of record. It made no sense to me; when we had them pack us up they told us to Savannah it was going to cost us $350 then all of a sudden it was $3000 when we moved 3 more hours south. But we are liking Florida so far; waiting on Aaron to start his job; which will hopefully soon. It's weird though not being on post or him getting up for PT every morning. If you all ever want to come visit you are more than welcome. We have a nice 3 bed 2 bath house. And we are close to Disney & the beach; plus alot of other things.
