Music, design, marketing, cool girls, fun stuff, vegas trips, the occasional party or good movie, perks, success, local music, shows, etc. I just like fun :-)
Music
My entire career started with music... Long story, which I could explain if you really wanna know. Below is an example of the kind of music I like to produce / listen to. It is a little preloading flash script so if it's done loading, just click it:
..> I did the vocals, production, wrote and recorded the music (no samples) mixed, mastered, the whole 9. If I could sing then I probably wouldn't be doing my vocals the way I do...I like rock, hip hop / downbeat, classic rock, punk, hardcore, local music, funny stuff, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's etc.
I used to have a strong stance against commercialism in music, but I realized I was missing out on some great stuff due to my convictions, so I kinda grew out of that way of thinking. I listen to anything that I think sounds good now, regardless of how cool it is, how popular (or not) the artist is, or whatever else drives people to like certain music.
My musical taste depends on my mood. I like almost anything if played in the right setting :)
Movies
I like anything funny, sci fi, and the occasional drama or adventure flick. Some of my favorites include Old School, the LOTD and Star Wars, Starship Troopers (yes I actually liked that movie!), Boyz in the Hood, CB4, Dogma... too many good movies - I can't even think of all of them ATM.
Heroes
Micheal Jordan, my dad, and probably tons of others that I can't think of right now
Sames as the last one, just a different category to place it in...
Director of web marketing for NextStudent Inc, one of the top 50 largest online advertisers in the world this month :-)
About me:
Goofy, driven, playful, serious, competitive, driven, they all explain me to some extent. I work hard, and I'm involved in all kinds of things. I like people who like people, I have a corny sense of humor, I'm very talkative... ok straight up obnoxious but at least I am friendly enough so it is mostly endearing. I'm trying to grow up, but I still act like a kid in a lot of ways. It helps is some facets in life and makes others a challenge, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Life is good. I love my family, friends, co-workers, and my job and my lil companies.
In general- I'm pretty driven to succeed in life. I guess you could say I'm your average 29 year old suburban chumpin' web geek. I have less of a wild streak than I used to, but I still got enough so I'm not boring.
My company, MCP Media, is one of the more high profile Arizona web design companies. If you need a professional website designer, we're the best! :)
I also run our web advertising and web operations at NextStudent, probably the most high profile company as student loans go on the web. If you need the lowest interest rate possible for student loan consolidation, go to our website and fill out an .. app. You can pre-qualify in seconds, and we'll take really good care of you. NextStudent rocks.
I just lanched a blog, named
Chris Hooley's Blog (so inventive eh?). It is kinda like my MySpace page, but without the barrage of altered photoshop pics my friends make of me, and without random 12 year old girls asking me to view their webcam. If you want to check out my resume for any reason, that blog is the place to go.
Oh yeah, and I'm in a joke band who shall remain nameless to protect the innocent :)
The biggest aspect of me is that I am a single dad who absolutely loves his daughter.
I have half custody of my beautiful daughter Kaylee. She's the sweetest, girliest girl ever. The stuff I do to make her happy is just more ammo for my friends to claim how gay I am (lol) How many of you can say you had 2nd row seats to Disney on Ice, the Princess Prade? Not many I presume!
On Saturday night I try to cut loose and hang out with my friends, which usually involves beer and / or food. My friends are the best :) Got someting to say about that? Say it right here:
Who I'd like to meet: Vanilla Ice (the 1992 version) - in fact I thought I would dress like him for halloween this year:
WAIT I just realized who I want to meet (in no particular order!)
