A Hooley;
To meet secretly at the homes of friends ans family to drink,sing and play music........until the early hours.
The Hooleys;
an unorthadox combination of seven radical musicians from diverse musical backgrounds fused together by a common passion for Celtic,Eastern European and American folk music.Weilding an arsenal of fiddle , banjo, whistle, guitar, bass, bongos, bodrhan they perform original and traditional tunes and songs in an energetic style. They prefer to bring the party out of the kitchen and meet in public places whenever possible to drink, sing and play music...........until the early hours.
".....the bands's sanity has been called into question ( as have their bar bills),but they continue to perform a unique spectrum of Celtic and Euorpean culteral tunes and songs with a raw passion and diverse style"
Blackfairs Arts Centre.
"They took the festival by a storm.........."
Belton International Dance and Music Festival.
"Stirring wicked tunes from the warm night air, their Celtic Magic enchanting and delightful, like snake charmers they weaved their hypnotic spells until revellers young and old cast aside their inhibitions and danced joyfully into the wee small hours"
