The original and only true line up of hooliganSwamp was put together through a haze of boozed up realisation in late 2005. These four bad Rock 'N' Rollers have been placed together by something that can only be explained as an obligation...an unholy matrimony and a fucking energy and passion held between the four of them to DESTROY!!!
The saga of this elusive foursome begins with a mysterious omen. The time had come, and whilst driving to their first ever rehearsal a freak accident occurred...the hooliganSwamp car set on fire whilst moving! Chaotic events like this have surrounded the band from the very start and continue to do so. Suggestions have been made that a higher force was and STILL IS trying to stop such fiendish music being made. Defying this power, the band started gigging in and around their home town of Bristol in March 2006 and quickly built themselves a reputation for their live shows, with a notable hometown gig organised by themselves on Devil's Night 06.06.06. Since being unleashed into the world, the 'hooliganSwamp sound' has been experienced in cities all over the south of the country and London. The mystery surrounding the band continues in peaks and valleys of both decadence and disaster...
The Swamp were also the stars of a half hour episode of BBC Three television series "Grime Scene Investigation" which was first aired on Tuesday October 3rd 2006 at 8pm. Watch out for repeats both on UK TV and Worldwide.
