HOOLIGANZ! was founded in the fall os 2002 when three friends, drummer Paulo,guitarist Peni "First Aide",and bass/guitarist player Kereti "Sweetooth" got together on a Sunday afternoon and decided to dust the cob webs off the drums and the dust from the strings. After weeks of jamming and messing around with some familiar tunes and the talk of a band that could be, the Uso's decided to call up an old friend Jymm "Teacha" who sings and is a genius when it comes to chanking on the ivorys and Preston "Vibesta" who walks all over the bass with his fingers. But like every band in the making "Hooliganz!" have had it's ups and downs and have foregone changes.
In 2003 Hooliganz! played thier first gig at a spot called Hoagie Barmichaels and have been jamming ever since.Hooloiganz! have played other southerfornia spots such as the Light House,Blue Cafe,Rhythm Lounge,Mai Tais and also Don Ho's on the island of Oahu,Hi, just to name a few.
In 2005 Hooliganz! then lead singer chose a different path to walk, but front men Lucky Dog and King Solomon with thier Harbor Rootz style, linked up with the Hooliganz! and since then the Hooliganz have created a vibe all thier own and have been playing various venues with Various artist from San Diego to Hawaii With L.A in between.
Since the depature of Hooliganz! lead guitarest and bass player from the group, the Hooliganz! have welcomed a new addition Blues/Rock/Dub guitarest Carlos "Los" Andrede who adds new flavor to the already distinctive sound of the Hooliganz!.
2007 Hooliganz! were blessed to have thier first single 'Vibe So Nice" debut on KPOA 93.5 radio station in Maui, Hi, and with that came the pleasure and opportunity to open for Hawaii's own Sudden Rush @ Charlies in the town of Paia, Hi, also @ Casanova's in the town of Makawao.
The Hooliganz! have also had the pleasure of performing with various Reggae Artist such as Morgan Heritage, Mikey Dread, Haile Maskal, Boom Shaka, Detour Posse, Broke Down, Tomorrows bad seed, Fiji, Bonofide and Groundation to name a few.
2008 Hooliganz! had the pleasure of performing at the Pure Aloha Festival in Las Vegas and were honored to share the stage with Pati and opened for New Zealands own Reggae group Katchafire.
Hooliganz! love to spread thier rootzy vibe so nice style that attracts music lovers from all genres of music.Thier love talent and passion for music has held the Hooliganz! together through all the struggles of life and Babylon, and has propelled the Hooliganz! to the next level.
