About me:
Your Name...You got it from your father,
It was all he had to give.
So it's yours to cherish
For as long as you may live.
If you lose the watch he gave you,
It can always be replaced.
But a black mark on your name, son,
Can never be erased.
It was clean the day you took it,
And a worthy name to bear.
When he got it from his father,
There was no dishonor there.
So make sure you guard it wisely,
After all is said and done.
You'll be glad the name is spotless
When you give it to your son...
..
I believe I have the greatest Job on earth... I get to lead volunteer American Soldiers in a time of war. A group of Soldier's who all think that they were not too special or too important to go to the hottest, nastiest, and most dangerous places on earth for their country. I am responsible for Soldier's lives, the good they accomplish, the stuff they break and lose, and everything else to do with them. This is pretty much the reason why I joined a few years ago...
A couple years ago I sat on my couch watching the war on terror unfold. I loathed the thought of telling my children and grand children that I did nothing while other Americans bled and died for an unpopular cause. Well at least those thoughts don't pop up in my head any more...
Philosophicaly I am best described as a 'South Park' conservative...
I have been a career student, mechanical design engineer, fire protection design engineer, substitute teacher, construction worker, tree pruner, secretary, 7 and 8 year olds basketball coach, pizza delivery guy, forward observer a.k.a. Fister a.k.a. Fire Support Specialist, 'Ma-Duce' gunner in a warzone, humvee driver, Jaffo, CPOF operator, and a host of other jobs. I have yet to find my niche or purpose, but I seem to be good at everything I try except relationships... pretty disapointing there... but I get to wear this cool greenish uniform.
