12/14/08 Well guys I have some sad news...Hope Departed is over. Its been a fun road and we've accomplished quite a bit in the three years that we had. But as time goes on we grow and change, priorities change, lives change. Just so everyone knows Hope Departed did NOT disband due to personal drama in the band, we are all still good friend and plan to remain that way for a long long time. Basically most of the members wanted to finish the remainder of their schooling to pursue other careers besides music. We're not getting any younger you know. But music isn't over for us, please check back every so often, we will be posting new songs that we have recorded recently. Please also check all the members myspaces' for their new projects. To everyone who has watched, helped, booked, recorded, produced, played with, partied with, or listened to Hope Departed...we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you all and we couldn't have done it with out you. Hope to see you all very soon.

Hope Departed
Hope Departed has exploded into the Southern California music scene. With Steve Ludwig and Brandon Wildish forming the band in July of 2005, the duo began writing songs and shaping what has today become Hope Departed. The duo was joined by guitarist Ryan Kruckenberg, and bassist Josh Valeo. Performing with various drummers at the time, the band began playing shows in and out of Orange County hoping to form a solid fan base. The band immediately developed a devout following. Hope Departed auditioned several drummers, to finally find the last piece of their puzzle, drummer Andy Nash. The band then began recording their debut Ep “Ascendance” with producer Sergio Chavez at Maple Studios and NRG Recording Services in October of 2006. The Ep also features drums by the phenomenally talented Jarrod Alexander(A Static Lullaby & Death By Stereo).The band released "Ascendance" in February of 2007. Ludwig’s infectious melodies, along with Wildish’s vocal harmonies and rockin’ rhythms, lay the foundation that sets Hope Departed aside from all the rest. Their explosive stage presence and genuinely positive attitude just goes to show that you will definitely be seeing and hearing a lot more from Hope Departed.
