About me:
Hopeful Dreamer Music (ASCAP) is a music publishing and placement company, one that aims to be the most songwriter friendly company on the planet. We do film/TV as well as artist placements.

- "Butterfly" written by Tony Mitchell, cut by Canadian artist Vicky Taytro on her debut CD, "Vicky Taytro"
Founded by songwriter, Charles P. Hurowitz (a.k.a. “Casey"), a veteran of numerous publishing deals himself, Hopeful Dreamer Music was designed with songwriter’s rights in mind. A music publisher can be successful in getting songs placed (and making money for all parties, of course) without asking songwriters to sign away the rights to their songs upfront.
You can say that everything Casey learned to hate about pitching songs as a songwriter is NOT in the operating principles of Hopeful Dreamer Music.
Hopeful Dreamer Music works on the principle that a songwriter should only sign an exclusive contract on a song if there is serious interest in a song from an artist, producer, film/TV music supervisor or other party that can use the song. Furthermore, we believe that if this type if serious interest does not result in a placement within a reasonable period of time, the publisher should not maintain exclusive control of the song.
