About me: Hope House, Maury County Center Against Domestic and Sexual Violence,is a not for profit corporation chartered in the state of Tennessee as a charitable and educational organization. It is devoted to providing aid to victims of domestic and sexual violence and to educating the public about the problems of domestic and sexual violence and it's causes. Among it's purposes are the following:
1. To provide shelter, advocacy, support and other services to domestic and sexual violence in or about Maury County.
2. To engage in community education to heighten public awareness of issues concerning domestic and sexual violence to change societal attitudes and institutions which promote and condone violence; and
3. To build and maintain a strong organization to deal with the problems of domestic and sexual violence.
Who I'd like to meet: Those in need of shelter and support, legal and community aid. Those who support those who provide these services. Communities and families who show by example that violence is not acceptable. Those who are willing to help us break the cycle of violence.
Our many services are 24 hr crisis hotline and emergency shelter, one on one needs assessment/planning for the future, development of safety plans, transportation, court advocacy and assistance, public awareness workshops, support groups, intakes for immigrant legal clinics, transitional housing, case management, child advocacy, sexual assault victim advocacy, and sexual assault awareness trainings, just to name a few! :)

~Build Your Self-Esteem~ Don't judge yourself based on someone else's opinion and stop blaming others for how you feel. You're responsible for your own emotional reactions.
