I love music! i love my cajun heritage. and i also love where im at right now in life. i've lived in south Louisiana basically all my life. i truly miss the simple times: lying in the clovers on sunny days, picking bee flowers, climbing fences, searching for hidden treasure (and believing it actually existed!), picking blackberries, sitting outside on the porch swing for BarBQue's at Granny's, listening to old chanky-chank (cajun french music). in my mind can still hear that one bird that woke me up every morning during the summer. and i remember thinking as a 7 yr old child, "it sucks that this isnt gonna last forever." i was always a deep thinker, knowing that i ought to appreciate my time as a child with no responsibilies. i wrote creatively alot then, and into my teenage years; i really want to get back into it. i hate admitting that im a grown up. :) im sorry, but 22 is still old to me! lol. i love the bayou. and the beach. but, moreso the bayous. i love camping, boating, fishing. oh, and yes, i dance. anything, hip-hop, zydeco, swing, whatever. growing up, i was more involved with sports than anything- softball and basketball. i still love it. one of those things you wish you had "more time for". i love babies. and babysitting. i dont like kids who think they know it all- i tend to forget they're kids when we argue. ha. THE PAST: there are many things i wish i would've left unsaid, but i do not believe in the word "regret." b/c you cannot change anything thats already been done. i do believe in making things right, and forgiveness. i just trust that it all happens for a reason. even the things that hurt me, i wouldnt take back- i tend to relate to alot of people, and they then tend to feel comfortable to voluntarily open up to me. which is completely fine b/c im a "real" person; i tend to be more open than discreet. i've made many mistakes and bad choices, but by the grace of God, i have a future that im excited about. The hand of my Savior reached into my life May 2004 and lifted me from the miry clay that i got myself hopelessly stuck in. He washed me anew and delivered me from the faulty future that lay straight ahead b/c of some selfish choices i made. He has implanted in me a vision so bright and a passion so overwhelming. And a heart that remembers how it feels to hurt, every time it does. the past is what it is. and i know what my life is now. i love God. And i strive each day to live in a way that it can be seen by my life. where my words are unneccessary in proving that i am a Christian. talk is cheap, when thats ALL that it is. for the technical stuff: i don't smoke, anything. don't drink. its not for me. and no, no sex[ual relations] til marriage. and honestly friends, i like it that way. im content. i know that it's worth the wait til the day God unites me with that strong man of God who was made just for me, and i for him. i love my friends. we have so much fun. and my family, man, they're just my heart. MY PASSION: i have a burden to reach the youth of this generation, in all nations- young people so passionate and extreme, but for all the wrong things. they give their lives to something they've been deceived to believe- that a life of immorality will fill that void of rejection. they cry that they are orphans, but really they're runaways. my call is to lead them back to the arms of the Father they've turned their backs on, or have never known, and to see them walk in the fullness of life that was ordained for them long before they were born. My ultimite goal with teens is to know that i am an example they can follow to find true life, true love, and true liberty. THE CRY OF MY HEART: "I want to leave a legacy; How will they remember me? Did I choose to love? Did I point to You enough, To make a mark on things? I want to leave an offering. A child of mercy and grace who blessed your name unapologetically. And leave that kind of legacy"
