    Shiloh is a 1 1/2 year old black lab that LOVES THE BALL!!! He is all Labrador through and through. He really wants to please you, even if he has a short attention span. But then, anyone who has ever had a Labrador knows, that is part of their breed. All heart and no attention span.

    Hunter is about two years old and what we believe to be a fox hound. He is friendly with all other dogs, and just wants everyone to be his friend. He was a bit scared and unsure of what was going on. but since has come out of his shell and has proven to be a happy go lucky fellow.

    Blue Eyes is a beautiful Husky Mix with a heart of gold. She was feral when found at Animal Control. Once you gain her trust she loves you for life but would do best in a home without children or one that understands the breed. She would be fantastic for a working dog. She gets along with other dogs and loves her belly rubs. She is approximately one year old.

    Meet our Tanner, rescued 12/11/2007 on what was to be his last day of life. He is playful, sweet, and totally adorable. He is a five month old Collie mix male. Tanner is extremely friendly and will fit right into any family situation. We expect him to grow to be about 45 to 50 lbs.

About me:

.. Myspace Layouts Our rescue started out as being two people deeply affected by the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the suffering of the animals. November 18th, 2005 a group of pets arrived in Alton Illinois, some from the hurricane others from animal control facilities that use the gas chamber to euthenize. Working with those animals and seeing the "hope" in their eyes and the spirit of their souls drove us to continue our work today.
We are a RESCUE and we physically go pull animals on their last day of life at animal control so that they may find a true second chance within our adoption program.
Today we are a non-profit corporation and our mission is one of compassion for the homeless, rehabilitation for the physically and mentally abused. Our goals are to promote spay/neuter, stop the use of gas chambers to kill our homeless pets, and to educate people on how to treat all animals with respect and dignity.
