About HORD at the Split Second Sound Studio in Amsterdam
BIOGRAPHY
HORD est un groupe de METAL ECLECTIQUE issu de la scène montpelliéraine et nîmoise, formé en 2002 sur les cendres de Lymloss et Homecreep. Après avoir réalisé plusieurs demos entre 2002 et 2005, le groupe collabore avec Patrick Liotard, guitariste et producteur du groupe Métal/Indus Polarbitch (http://www.myspace.com/polarbitchmetal), dans le courant de l’année 2006, pour produire et enregistrer son premier album REBORN FROM CHAOS (Why Note/Nocturne, 2007). Aujourd’hui, après quelques changements dans le line-up, et deux années passées à défendre l’album sur scène, notamment en assurant des premières parties de Fear Factory, Punish Yourself, Black Bomb A, etc., HORD est en studio à Amsterdam, au Split Second Sound Studio, sous la direction de Jochem Jacobs, producteur et guitariste du groupe hollandais TEXTURES (Nuclear Blast Records), pour donner une suite à REBORN FROM CHAOS. THE WASTE LAND sortira au début de l’année 2010.
HORD (Electic Metal) has been founded in 2002 on the ashes of Lymloss and Homecreep in the south of France, near Nîmes and Montpellier. After the recording of several demos, the band is spotted in 2006 by Patrick Liotard, guitarist and producer of Metal/Indus band POLARBITCH, who decides to produce and record the first album of HORD: Reborn from Chaos (Why Note/Nocturne, 2007). After some changes in the line-up and two years on the road defending Reborn from Chaos on stage with Fear Factory, Punish Yourself, Black Bomb A, etc., HORD is recording a new album at the Split Second Sound Studio (Amsterdam) with Jochem Jacobs, guitarist and producer of the dutch band TEXTURES (Nuclear Blast Records). THE WASTE LAND will be released in the beginning of 2010.

Sur son dernier opus « I love you », Mathieu Boogaerts a misé sur la simplicité, l’essentiel en réduisant la voilure sonore : basse, batterie, guitare et synthé, basta. Une nouvelle route s’offre à lui : « Aujourd’hui, je n’ai pas envie qu’on me dise que la musique de I love You est belle, mais qu’elle est sexy ». Cousinage avec l’electro-rock pour certains morceaux ou encore funk-rock mutant né dans les ruines du punk, Mathieu Boogaerts se fait plaisir et nous fait plaisir !
