Alex Santos is my name. I write music, Among other things. This is also my personal myspace. I fix cars for a living, but i work for myself. I dream of being completely independent form regular societal standards. Weather that be regular jobs, Regular housing, or relationships. I am polyamorous. If you do not what that is, it means that I believe that you can love more then one person, without that being wrong. Love is good. Jealousy is a root of evil, I hate jealousy and I want to be trusted and trust the ones i love. I love my friends potentially as much as my lovers. Because what is a best friend other then a lover you different things with. Love (for me) is about being willing to sacrifice yourself to better someone else. I would die for the few select people I love. Putting their life, above yours. Anyone who questions weather I know what love is or not, really doesn't know me, or is fooling themselves. If they truly believe something different, that's ok too. I try to accept other peoples beliefs even when they don't respect mine. Because in the end its not about being better then anyone else, its about knowing what you feel is Right.

I am looking for a female vocalist to explore writing new music for my power punk alternative project. I am not limited to any one genre... but that seems to be a direction i go. I would like to accomplish a "subways" sound like a shared lead signer responsibility thing. Currently i do alot of recording and playing open mic nights, but i am looking at doing more shows, and i would like to jam and try to write some new material. If you play bass or guitar or drums, that would be great too, i have a drum kit, and i am willing to help you learn if the vocals work out. What i hope you can do? Well if i came up with a chord progression and sang a line, i would like you to be able to come up with a second line that is kind of like a back and forth dialog. I am not too picky about looks, mostly voice, but i would like some who will look the part and that crowds will enjoy seeing some enthusiasm onstage or in videos... So a myspace.
I am working with my roommate Blake and we are combining our projects into a band called Uniforms and Unicorns. When we have more songs up look for that project in my top friends. He is featured on "The Blanket" on Guitar, mostly.*edit* He also plays guitar on Rectangles and Squares, and may be playing guitar or working with me editing on any feature songs.
About my Top Friends. Everyone should notice that NOWHERE does myspace order top friends as 1,2,3,4 etc. SO who is 1,2,3,4 etc is up to interpretation. It depends how you count. If you count straight down it would be different then if you counted across. My first 4 friends are my bands that influence me. This is a band site, that is how it is. All overs are arranged as follows. My two girls are on the first line on the edges so as too not confuse one being before another. Homie don't play that game. I love. And that is how it is. As far as everyone else goes. Imagine i am in the Upper left corner, under my bands. The closer you are to that invisible me, the most priorty i placed on you, to some extent. Mostly if you on my top friends at all i need you in my life. End Rant. Top friends are stupid anyway. Just another way for people to be jealous. Everyone i love, i show them this through my actions everyday, so who needs top friends?
You know, it's been quite some time since I visited your page with the volume turned on. There's quite a few songs I hadn't heard up here. I'm really kind of amazed at the quality of the music. For the most part, the production quality is very high. Much higher than i was expecting. The lyrics are well written. The vocals are still painful though. Must learn to sing from diaphram, not nose. Makes it sound too whiney. Sorry, that sounded harsh, but if the vocals were better, I really think you'd have a marketable product here. Blake sounds great (when he's not doing the whole gravelly thing). He actually has a really pretty singing voice. (that sounded way more feminine than i meant it to.). Well, now that my compliment has turned into insults for everyone involved, maybe I'd just better stop while i'm behind.
