3 nights of terror and laughter in Arcata! Last year’s smash Halloween hit is back for three horrific nights at the Arcata Playhouse, presented by Raw Red Meat Productions. With three brand-new, bone chilling plays in the original style of the theatre of horror: The Grand Guignol. Filled with blood, murder, and mayhem, this will be an event that will haunt your dreams, with each piece descending further into the depths of human depravity. Two horror plays and one raunchy farce will have you howling and screaming all night.
RANDOM HOOK-UP by Nathaniel Justiniano- a chilling look at the world and dangers of internet dating, RANDOM HOOK-UP tells the tale of a lonely man, Craig, who goes home with a date and unwittingly enters a depraved world of sexual games and torture, culminating in bloody climax that will stay with you for months to come.
THE OFFICE OF DR. MANGEL, by Tyler Olsen- an out of control farce and involving an out-of-work actress, a hunky janitor, a maniacal plastic surgeon, and four leaky bags of liposuction waste. Everything is going well at Dr. Mangel’s Plastic Surgery clinic, until the day that their prize customer shows up for a routine check up…
ACID BATH, by Toby Mulford- Based on true events. Mary, an innocent woman is held for ransom in a dingy hotel bathroom by a vicious gang. When the gang doesn’t get what it want, they begin their “trademark” method of execution: burning her alive with acid! With no one to help her, Mary must rely on her wits and her sexuality if she ever hopes to escape. ACID BATH will tear you from your seat, kicking and screaming, and when it lets go, you will never be the same.
