T’was the night before Christmas, when all through the Mansion
Not a creature was stirring, not even a phantom.
The tattered old stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that Krampus soon would be there.
The minions were all nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of monstrosities and marvels danced in their heads.
And mamma in her cage, and I in my nest,
Had just settled our brains for the long winter’s rest.
When out on the roof there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the nest to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a bat,
I Tore open the shutters and threw out the cat.
And then, with a scream, I heard on the roof
as well as the clawing and pawning of each boney hoof.
As I drew in my head, and begun to run for life,
Down the chimney Krampus came with a knife.
He was dressed all in Human Skin, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes, blood and soot.
A bundle of Horrors he had flung off his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his sack.
His eyes-how they sunk! his sockets so dark!
His cheeks were like caves, his nose a rotten mark!
His sinister little mouth was drawn up in a grin,
And the beard of his chin was as stained as yellow as tobacco and urine.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his fangs,
And the smoke it encircled his head as it hangs.
He had a long thin face and a large round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of fetus jelly!
He was chubby and plump, an evil wreaking old elf,
And I feared for my life when I saw him, in coming towards myself!
With A wink of his eye and a 360 degree twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had everything to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the tattered stockings, then turned with a smerk.
And laying his finger inside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a snarl,
And away they all flew like the down of a brawl.
But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
"Evil Christmas to all, and to all a Horrific night!
