The 4th Annual
INTERNATIONAL HORROR & SCIFI FILM FESTIVAL
will be held in Chandler, Arizona on
Oct. 23-26, 2008. Chandler Cinemas, 2140 N. Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225
The Festival will kick off on Thursday, October 23rd with our Opening Night Event featuring a screening of Magnolia Picture's "Donkey Punch". "Donkey Punch" was an official Sundance Film Festival selection and we're excited to have it kick off the Festival.
Then on Friday, October 24th, we'll be rocking 3 screens with some of the best in independent horror and sci-fi flicks. We'll also be featuring the original "Friday the 13" that night. Films will continue into the night, featuring retro and late night fare including a double feature from the Midnite Movie Mamacita and the crazy "Tokyo Gore Police". Don't forget about the Gore Girl Photo-Shoot Competition where winners will be announced at the Moosehead Lager After-Party. After all what's a Festival, without a party.
On Saturday, October 25th the finest in independent horror and sci-fi feature and shorts will be continue to be screened as the competition films take center stage. Take in a Classic Saturday Matinee with a 50th Anniversary screening of "The Blob". In the evening we'll be inducting Jeffrey Combs into the International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival Hall of Fame and screening his classic film, "Re-Animator". And don't forget to do the time-warp with a special Halloween themed edition of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Topping of the night will be the legendary, Saturday Night Costume Party featuring a cash prize costume contest. Bring out your best costumes.
Then on Sunday, October 26th the films continue to roll on three screens. More indie and retro titles will be scattered throughout the day. We've also got our Super Secret Closing Night Film. Then we'll close out the Festival with the Closing Night Party where we'll give away the awards and put this baby to bed.

The Parties
Come by each night for a beverage after you're done seeing movies! The parties will be held in our very own Moosehead Beer Lounge accessible conveniently inside Chandler Cinemas.
Friday Night Bash - 9pm to 1am
Kick off the Festival with a cold tasty Moosehead or Moosehead Lite Beer. Chat with other festival attendees and our fabulous filmmakers! Just a warning; pace yourself because the Festival is just getting started. Don't forget about the Gore Girl Competition Presented by ICanSmellYourBrains.com
Saturday Night Costume Party – 9pm to 1am
Costume Contest at Saturday Night's Party at 11:00pm!
Wear your coolest costume to the party -- the audience and judges will review those who'd like to compete. The big winner gets $100 and lots of applause! Anyone wearing a costume will receive a Flex Pass to four movies on Sunday.
Sunday Closing Night Party – 9pm to midnight
It's time to close out another great festival with one last party. Join us for one last celebration before we put this baby to bed where we'll also award the winning films.
Autograph Raffle
Since we really appreciate all you folks who wait in line for celebrity autographs, you'll receive a raffle ticket when you get an autograph at any of the sessions. Then on Sunday Night we'll hold the drawing at the Closing Night Party to see who the big winners are of some fabulous prizes.
Festival Merchants
Will be set up throughout the Festival with a range of exciting products to satisfy every need!
Frazetta Comics artist Jay Fotos will be on hand with a special International Horror and Sci-Fi exclusive comic called 68' for the weekend! Each issue will be signed and will carry the festival's logo are available in a limited quantity while supplies last! Frazetta Comics will also be available for purchase all weekend long and there will be free give-a-ways for those who attend the showing of Laspina's “Painting with Fire” documentary on Sunday.
