Humble - that's a good word for horsemouth, that just about sums him up, never too full of himself to kneel down, be saddled up and have folks ride him about, never too proud to have his lips pulled back so folks can have a better look at his teeth... but sensitive too... and frequently downright spiteful.
These are homespun downhome tunes, here horsemouth is aiming for something like an art brut michael oldfield, a solo excursion with every note played, sung, scratched or sampled by your host and applied in accordance with his central directing intelligence.... either that or as the album title has it 'horsemouth...has no friends'.
horsemouth thanks hamnoise and idiot soup for the use of their fine recording facilities. horsemouth has played live only once at the
the wild hare club in stretton sugwas in herefordshire. he helped with the arranging of blueskies one of
idiot soup's songs and wrote the lyrics for another gentleman john which is available above. he forms part of the fisherman's choir on elephant a track on the new gertrude album. horsemouth has also played guitar on
denise ishaque's fine recordings and on goatboy's record before he was driven off the nags head estate by crazed vigilantes making pig noises. If anyone asks.... horsemouth and goatboy are no longer friends.
'The transformation of the public sphere' and 'you'll never be stuck with a monkey on a stick.' can be found in horsemouth's blog both dated 14th April 2007.

disclaimer; this is just to make clear that horsemouth has no 'friends', will not acknowledge any such 'friends' nor attempt to be 'friends' (whatever this 'friends' you speak of may be) with anyone at any stage.
horsemouth calls for the realisation and supression of the commodity precisely as alienated labour and under no circumstances will enagage in any 'social networking' . MySpace is 'a place for friends' (whatever these 'friends' may be) but horsemouth just wants access to the capitalist marketplace.
