About me:

Bio

Hi, I am a life time artist, investor (entrepreneur) and believer in endless possibilities.

My greatest love, as a kid, was to draw and paint horses. Then I took my dreams for granted. After building another company, one that did not satisfy my creative desire, I broke from that to follow my first love- horses. That love, combined with photography has suited just fine. Now, I follows cowboy's careers in cutting and training, horseman/woman clinicians and their students, ranches and the daily ranch life to draw art to the foreground.

There is a Zen saying, "Before Enlightenment chop wood carry water, after Enlightenment, chop wood carry water."

Life, in its mundane usual way, is where art lives.

Things I have learned from horses and more questions I've wondered about:

~ Horses always know their priorities, how to conserve energy, who eats first, when to eat, when to sleep, when to drink... It gets confusing when I think my priorities should be another person's priorities.
~ Ask until I have a clear and distinct “no” of any situation, then find a way around/past/through.
~ Horses are always interesting, even when standing still.
~ If they can, they will. Why not? What’s to stop them? They stop when they want to, even when asked, they still stop because the WANT to.
~ If I were contained in a small area, made to stand in my own waste, how would I feel when a person showed up?
~ When I have a horse’s attention the slightest movement is significant. Don’t believe this? See how fast a fly can get a horse’s attention.
~ Become the source of my horse's (friend, partner, dog, cat...) celebration, entrainment and joy! All work, fact and complaining does not bring happiness.

I believe I make all of my decisions based on attraction.
I believe if I am accountable for my actions the world can be different.
I believe I have been afraid to live passionately.
I believe I have learned tons from horses about forgiveness.
I believe I still have a lot to learn from horses.
I believe I can love more than I know.
I believe I am my highest authority (except when it comes to taxes). ;)
I believe that, sometimes, it is a good idea to listen to my heart over my head especially when it comes to adopting a puppy.
I believe I don’t always know the difference between my head and my heart and then should consult my gut. ;)
I believe its a good idea to live without "shoulds".
I believe I know very little about time.
I believe my art tells more about me than anything I can write.
I believe that at least one other human being will read this...
