MySpace a place for friends

Hi! I'm just another geek typing meaningless words into yet another community page. You would think that with all of those sites out there that offer community that perhaps the introduction would have become a bit more standardized, but it hasn't yet. I still make sure to write a few wasted sentences about how a textual description can't really contain all that a given person is. In my case, however, it's not going to be that far off. My life really is simple enough to sum up in a few short sentences.

I'm a 30 something (33 am I now? Never can remember), married, with a daughter (early teen), a job (senior programmer analyst). I actually do love my job and have a hard time comprehending someone not loving it.

I waste my time playing roleplaying games, both online and offline. (D&D a little more than once a week). I used to be a terrible EverQuest addict, logging in for most of my spare time, but I'm trying to wean myself from the MMORPG addiction. Unfortunately, I've picked up World of Warcraft as my method. As illogical as it seems, it does seem to work since I spend about a quarter of the time I used to play EQ, and that amount of time is decreasing too. I was Sabyas and Hoshisabi on Lanys T'vyl and Seventh Hammer in EverQuest and I am a stable full of low level characters on Cenarion Circle in WoW (Healoam, Sabyas, Sabi, and others).

I once thought of myself as a writer, now I just realize that I like my own words enough to enjoy writing a lot of things down, but when I re-read what I've written I end up cutting almost every single word. Four paragraphs become a sentence or two, and in the end I decide that even that is not worth reading. So, my writing either tends to be stream of consciousness, as I write down literally anything that comes to mind, or it ends up being terse and updated almost never.
