   About Hot Brass Monkey
Since it's conception in 1998, this 10 primate horn band's "No Monkey business "approach to musical entertainment has taken them out of the Jungle, and placed them into the "Big City" as one of the most sought after groups for "main event" Private and Corporate entertainment.

HBM has thousands of successful events to their credit. Some of these events highlighted include...having had the opportunity to either open or close for nationally acclaimed acts like Brooks and Dunn, Pat Benatar, Billie Dean, America, Ms Patty Labelle, Starship, The Turtles, Boney James/Rick Braun, the Guess Who, 3 Dog Night, Lov'n Spoonfull, Richard Elliot, Steven Cole, Peter White, Norman Brown, Spyro Gyra, Delbert McClinton, The Pointer Sisters, Tower of Power, and one of our big influences...Chicago (at Ceasar's Palace Las Vegas Neveda)

Other professional events worthy of mention are performing as the musical backup group for one of the top rated Tom Jones impersonaters out of Vegas billed as "This is Tom Jones, and "the Rat Pack" which included American Idol top ten contestant Desmund Meeks as Sammy Davis Jr, James Torrme ( Mel Torrme's Son) as Sintra, and a Canadian gentleman named...playing the most convincing role as Dean Martin.(Look to photo flashes (Left) for pictures of some of these events)

If you're into movies, catch a glimpse of the band appearing in the 1999 "Oliver Stone" Production, "Any Given Sunday", starring Al Pacino, Camren Diaz, Jamie Fox, James Woods, Mathew Bodine, and Hot Brass Monkey...

A memorable occasion for the band was being selected to perform for the entertainers, cast and crew, of the George Strait Country Western Festival 2000 tour "Kick off Party" in Orlando Florida. Country Western Music is what they didn't want... George Strait's Lead Guitarist tapped into our band's versatility and played an unbelievable Brazillian Jazz styled rendition of "Girl from Ipanema"...From that point to the end of the evening, the house was rockin with great musicians sitting in from every group involved in the tour. We left that job with a new found respect for what great musicianship is really all about, and many of them left showing great appreciation for who we were as a group...It all comes back to loving what we do and the work we put into our craft individually and collectively...a great time was had by all.

Interested in a good Laugh? take a moment to View these Utube videos on Jeff Dunham. We had the pleasure of closing for Jeff for a Amelia Island Fl Corporate affair.

So who are we???

HBM is comprised of some of South Florida's finest musicians who take pride in reproducing the great classic horn influenced hits from our recent past into today. Material drawn from groups like Santana, Ricky Martin, Cherry Poppin Daddies, Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy, Cab Calloway, Brian Setzer, Louis Prima, Chicago, BS&T, Stevie Wonder, Toto, Earth Wind & Fire, Ohio Players, Kool and the Gang, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, James Brown, Joe Cocker, Blues Bros, The Commitments, The Beatles, KC and the Sunshine Band, Harry Conick Jr, Dave Mathews, Al Green, Bill Withers, Maroone 5, Billy Joel, Michael Buble, O'l Blue eyes Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and several other classic groups of this style. Not to mention our complete female repertoire, our Contemporary and Standard Jazz and Latin Jazz Selections. And for those with a discerning taste, yes we even have some country...The hipper stuff (of Course)...

HBM rises to the occasion of any indoor or outdoor function, accommodates all age groups, and can tailor a show around any style or theme that you might have in mind. This way you can have the quality band that you have been hoping for with enough variety in show material to keep your guests entertained year after year.

Schmaltz less, High enthusiastic energy, terrific ability to lead from the microphone, quality "true to sound" horn arrangements, rotating lead and back up vocals, creative harmonies, Latin percussion, which drives strong dance able rhythms, all combined in a original show format.

So What did you have in Mind???
