Hot City Music Group is a multi-faceted entertainment conglomerate aimed at becoming a premier national and international production company/record label. Charles "CK" King and Michael Floyd founded Hot City Music Group in 2005. Mixing both musical knowledge and experience as entrepreneurs, they have the requisite experience necessary to release records on a national scale. Hot City Music Group anticipates that it will represent, develop, promote, produce and distribute completed music on all of Hot City Music Group signed artists.
Hot City Music Group specializes in the genre of R&B, Hip-Hop and Gospel. Artists chosen by the company have been selected based ..ed criteria. This criteria includes but is not limited to: Exceptional musical talent; Strong work ethic; Artist appeal and Dedication.
The Company’s objective is to provide the means for extremely talented artist and musicians to develop, record and promote their music independently or with the help of the major record companies, while still utilizing the highest level of technology, skill and expertise.
Hot City has (5) five Recording Artist, 2 of which are signed to major label deals and it also has (8) eight "in house" Music Producers signed to its' company . The (5) Five artists signed to the label each represent a diversity of styles and backgrounds necessary to compete and be successful in this very competitive business.
The first signed act to Hot City Music Group is a nineteen year old superstar. He is the former Rocafella/Def Jam R&B Recording Artist named "Young Steff". We have recently signed him to a Production/Record Label “imprint deal” with Richcraft/Atlantic Records. His debut album will most likey be released in the first quarter of 2008. Hot City has also signed "Shire' pronounce Sha-ray , the former lead singer for Def Soul/Universal Records' Female R&B Recording Group "LOVHER". She is signed to our newly formed joint-venture partnership Hot City Music/Family Ties/SRC Universal Motown. Shire' is a Superstar in making! A Dynamic Vocalist, Songwriter and Arranger. Her new Single "Movin' On" will be impacting radio this Summer "08 along with her new Mix-Tape/Street Album. Her debut album "Pickin Up The Pieces" is slated for a Fall' 08 release.
In addition, Hot City has a 14 year old male R&B artist named "Devon" who is still in development, but is soon to be the next young star. Last but certainly not least, the most recent artist to be signed is "Chrissy DePauw". She is a 23 year old Female Pop Artist with a rich, honey coated voice. She is an excellent, singer-songwriter who also plays acoustic guitar. She is currently (April'08) being courted by some of the industry biggest record labels and publishing companies. We are currently developing her project and we look forward to a single release by fall 2008.
Our short-term objective is to sign (2) two Rap Artist, (1) one Gospel Act and have National and International Major Label Distribution in place for all of our Artist before the end of the year 2008. Our long-term objectives are to extend our market by establishing relationships with international distributors, independent of the "majors", and to expand our services into music publishing, film and television.
Hot City Music Group is continually searching for new talent. It’s A&R staff is constantly reviewing submitted press kits and attending musical events searching for the next superstar.
