The Hot Club of Hungary band is nowadays the best authentic representative of the Gypsyjazz/Swing Manouche style in Hungary. The band plays the great standards of the swing era and the music of the jazz most unique sounded guitarplayer the great Django Reinhardt and the most brilliant player of the jazzviolin, Stephane Grappelly.
On the first CD of the Hot Club of Hungary meets the '30-ies hot parisian swing with gypsy- and slav folkmusic which is a unique combination in this musicgenre!
On the repertoir of the Hot Club of Hungary you can find the most melodic tunes and the most impressive swinging music of all time and your feet and hands can not stand against the great rythm!
Until now the band has prooved its talent for the audience numerous times in big internaional music festivals, swingdance parties, jazzclubs, pubs and on the street, as well.
Untill november 2008 Hot Club of Hungary had more then 300 gigs, and more then 150 just in 2008(!) in such countries like Hungary, Austria, Germany,Italy and France.
The band played with so many great bands and musicians: Hot Jazz Band(H), Hot Club de Corse(F),La Palinka(F), Daniel Weltlinger(AUS)(violin), Jelle Van Tongeren(NL)(violin), Patrick Saussois(F)(guitar), David Reinhardt(F)(guitar), Richard Manetti(F)(guitar).Mark Tortorici(USA)(vocal), and Val Peterson(USA)(vocal).
Hot Club of Hungary invite often the best hungarian stars of swing and dixieland like: Tamás Bényei(vocal,trumpet,banjo, guitar), Attila Korb(trombone,trumpet piano), Joe Fritz(clarinet)!
