ABOUT THE HOTEIKAN DOJO
The Hoteikan Dojo was founded in 1967 by Sensei Emilio Claudio “Reno” and Sensei Robert Hasman.
Sensei Thomas Carrano studied under both the founders. He is presently the Chief Instructor at the Brooklyn Dojo.
Sensei Reno contributed Sosuishitsu Ryu Jujitsu and Judo. He is currently the instructor at WEST POINT MILITARY ACADEMY where he coaches the Judo Team and teaches a civilian jujitsu program.
Sensei Robert Hasman contributed the art of Shotokan Karate and was formerly the instructor at the New York Department of Corrections.
You as a student can independently study an individual art of your choice, but also have the opportunity to combine the styles to create a more complete martial arts system.
Our physical training is tough, and has been developed and improved over hundreds of years to help you bring out your best and break through self imposed limitations.
Hoteikan training is an excellent aerobic workout. You will develop stamina, coordination, strength, balance, confidence, and self discipline. Most importantly, you will learn the tried and tested, time honored, tradition of Martial Art Training.
You will learn to defend yourself and gain the spirit to overcome all challenges in life and bring out the best in yourself.

The 6th annual West Point seminar was a huge success! We had over 6 schools represented and over 50 individuals attending. Soke Emilio Claudio Jr. presided over the clinic with a watchful eye as 6 high ranking Sensei's took turns demonstrating and conducting mini workshops for the students. Master Sensei Luis Ruperto wowed the crowd with a Ninjitsu demonstration that included a sword kata and armed and unarmed defense against knife and gun. The Hoteikan schools demonstrated their specialties to the delight of Soke. Soke handed out several promotions including a 6th Dan rank to Col. Hector Morales, a 4th Dan to Major Ben Ring and officially turned over the System to Dai Shihan Santiago Armstrong with the promotion to 10th Dan. The seminar lasted over 7 hours with everyone completely exhausted but throughly satisfied with the outcome. Photos and videos of this wonderful event will follow in the next couple of days.

Haha, I know that was just me being silly. =] Florida is fine. Just a little lonely since all my friends are back in NY. Thank goodness for family, they keep me on my toes. I miss the dojo so much though!! I would love to get back into karate and reach my goal toward a black belt. I was so close. but there isnt any schools around my area. I would have to drive and right now I have no mode of transportation. =/ Well, keep in touch. And I miss you guys! =]

Yea I couldn't make it had to take my mom to the doctor but I'll b there friday and saturday. And I always practice even while I'm in school. Got to train hard for that competition
