Started from scratch in 2001 at the Hobgoblin Pub in Brentwood this event started attracting musicians from far and wide. The quality of performances were such that the audience didn't take long to follow and soon the place was packed out every Tuesday. When, after two successful years the pub decided to become a restaurant, a new venue was sought. The success of the jam continued with barely a hiccup and at this time the jam was named "The Hot Hob Jam" in remembrance of it's Hobgoblin roots, plus the fact that it 'Spat', 'Sizzled', 'Boiled' and 'Stewed' - which it continues to do to this day!
ADMISSION IS £1 TO PLAY AND £2 TO WATCH!
BI-WEEKLY WE HAVE TOP LINE GUESTS OPENING THE JAM.
What a great Jam last night, let's hope it continues to attract so many on a regular basis. Huge 'well done' to John Edmonds, he done a brilliant job in ensuring all musicians got to perform and his contribution was paramount to the night's success.
Hi to all the Trio, thanks for adding me, really look forward to the weekly event, and having the opportunity to watch, and play with so many good musicians, keep up the good work.
thanks John for inviting me this week, i really enjoyed it , as you could tell slightly out of my comfort zone, but that sometimes can make it interesting ? sorry for my choice of floor pedal, but it works for me, (sometimes) lol
