Sounds Like
per Brandon (aka hot heels records): "a World War II battle cruiser powered with the adrenaline of thirsty orphans. The adrenaline has to, of course, be harvested after the orphans have been shoved into a cage with ninety-eight nervous rattlesnakes. Previous to this, the orphans must be informed that if they are very quiet, the basket of puppies outside will not be baked for the evening's puppy and kitten stew; it would only of course be simply kitten stew in that case."
Julie Jurgens: or, how I won the war
Once upon a time a girl met a guitar and they fell in love. While that first guitar has long since been broken beyond repair, its spirit lives on in a cherry red Washburn that has accompanied Julie on many a stage, including the Gallery Cabaret, Kitty Moon, the Mutiny, the Mill in Iowa City, and Theo's Java Club in Rock Island, IL, among many, many others. Julie has also won second place at a couple of county fairs, and plans on releasing a second official album eventually. Until then, feel free to ask her for legit bootlegs. She'll also get those to you eventually.
Happy fourth of July, you sexy songstress, you. See you in August for your birthday party. (Yeah, you'll probably get some kind of Beatles tape from me AGAIN.)
