Some of our excursions include hiking, camping, urban/mountain biking/cycling, whitewater rafting, caving/spelunking, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, rappelling, rock climbing, cabining, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
Other social functions may involve mixers, movie nights, cookouts, dinners, potlucks, pool parties, going to ZooAtlanta or the Georgia Aquarium, or attending Braves games.
Our group also participates in some activities that promote environmental stewardship such as clean up programs for parks, nature centers, hiking/biking trails, and/or streams/rivers.

Music
Claudja Barry (DonnaJean Records) and Madison Park (BasicLUX Records) are Hotlanta Adventures' favorite international recording artists. Check out their MySpace profiles linked from our Top Friends list. Look for various promotions in Atlanta partnered with Hotlanta Adventures and either's record label.
Hotlanta Adventures is a newer younger-adult (18yo-youthful 40's) volunteer-based outdoor club & social group that provides the opportunity to make new acquaintances and build friendships while experiencing the adventures of the outdoors and other similar shared interest. Our main goals are fun, fitness, and friendships in addition to environmental education and stewardship.
Most of our group members are novices to many of our outdoor activities with some being more experienced outdoor enthusiast. We welcome all experience levels who are egger to participate in our fun, fitness, and friendship activities.
We set up many part- and full-day outings in the Metro Atlanta area, North Georgia mountains, and other areas within a couple hours drive. Destinations further than that are typically overnight or multiple-day trips. We sometimes combine activities into a fun weekend getaway staying in cabins or camping at a state park or other fun area, hang out and socialize with a nice group of men and women in a different atmosphere than the typical city scene.
A listing of the type of activities we do is listed in the "Interests" section.
Our club started in April 2005 and we currently have over 900 members. Club membership is not a prerequisite to be one of our MySpace Friends so it is a mix of members and nonmembers.

Who I'd like to meet: Fun in-shape/fit people between 18yo to youthful 40's who have an interest in outdoor and other fun social activities.
Friends Request: If you enjoy the Great Outdoors too, feel free to add us to your Friends List althought that does not make you a member of our group. Visit our website to join our club and subscribe to our eNewsletter to get information about our activities and events.
Please don't expect us to approve a Friend Request if you have the double standard of blocking your profile/set to private while wanting others to have their profile public.
If you are a band or DJ that plays something other than what might end up on the Billboard Dance Charts, please don't bother. Being that we are a hi-NRG group, we listen to hi-NRG music.
Posting Friends Comments: Please do not post oversized graphics or comments that are not in good taste. Thanks! (Since so many people wouldn't respect this request, HTML has been disabled in comments)
