| General | riding bikes to the pirate radio station. promoting local musicans and D.I.Y. radio collectives. making people dance, and hear amazing music that influenced us. Mostly coming from the years of 77-80, be it disco or post-punk-kraut-funk-no wave-whatever. | | Music | from ..77-79 rough trade, 99 records, ze records and misc d.i.y. bands from europe to L.A. that made your hips shake and your fists pump in the air. some later/current/local stuff too-mu, big black, mazing vids, death sentence panda, ghost exits, pixeltan, j.o.y. flying luttenbachers, etc.
to more italo disco/paradise garage/euro disco classics that paved the way for any dance or soul and funk and wave filled music -arthur russel, west end, megatone, stuff your mom may have heard larry levan spinning decades ago.
our radio shows as well as our club nights at Megatone combine our records from punk backrounds to classic old school disco tracks. you won't hear the Beegees or anything like that here.
The radio show is a little less of a dance party than our live sets usually are. The sets often start more punk/experimental/noise/kraut/prog-post-punk and may end up with classic disco tracks or dubbed out jams. it's cozy in there (think Pump Up the Volume minus Christian Slater's annoying accent) so sit back in your office, your car, or in your kitchen and enjoy me playing my favorite records.
