...."Hot Wax and Champagne steam cook dreamy vocal melodies with freshly ground classic rock riffs that adds a pinch of musical maturity to the Brit-rock scene."...... ....The Smokey Carrot Sessions, 333 Motherbar.... .. .. .. .. .. .. Hot Wax and Champagne's sound is a blend of classic rock riffery and chiming melodically-driven songwriting, borrowing elements of soul, Rhythm & Blues and folk to create a contemporary, yet warm and familiar alternative rock sound. Fans of Hot Wax and Champagne have referenced The Eagles, REM and the Goo Goo Dolls when describing the band's appeal. Classic rock bands of the '60s and '70s, including Led Zeppelin, The Who and Pink Floyd, and US alternative bands such as Pearl Jam and Dinosaur Jnr have also been highly influential. .. .. The name Hot Wax and Champagne refers to the unlikely collaboration between founding members Keith Marsh and Robbie Leggat. Prior to their first impromptu jam together, they'd each been pursuing very different musical directions. Yet they both shared a passion for musical performance, and found that Keith's rock guitar style blended perfectly with Rob's funky, bluesy lyrical melodies and soulful, heartbroken vocals .. .. Hot Wax and Champagne have amassed a collection of around 50 songs and many more song ideas, riffs and chord progressions to draw even more material from. They also provided the music for a short documentary about the country of Iceland, which was broadcast across America this year. .... .. ....'SMILE' video:.... .. .. ..Our good friend Jason created this music video for what MAY be our first single!
