Spawned from the depths of Tannum Sands at the beginning of March of 2009, Hours Awake emerged to spread it's glorious seed across the land.
Combining a vast variety of elements in the music we play, we bring back the meaning of individuality. Teeth grinding guitars, double kickers, and dominating breakdowns are part of what we do, but we carefully encompass these with what we ensure is our own distinctive sound to produce that which Hours Awake stands for.
We have been recieving great support from friends, family, "fans", and especially other bands and their members since our inception, all of whom have given us a great opportunity to get us out there playing and to project our music into the faces and ears of youth and the elderly alike. Thank you, kind folk. We won't disappoint.

EXELSIOR! We are currently bound for battle at the Boyne Island skate park on the 7th November in conjunction with the "I Practice Safe Cyber" Youth Festival. In alliance with Epidemic...Over, Drawn From Bees, and DJ Grazza, we will slay the minds of youth from across the region with our holy sound. There will be skate, BMX, and scooter competitions from 7 AM (registration at www.gladstonercqld.gov.au [thanks to myspace censorship, a link can't actually be made here so you're gonna have to copy/paste the URL all on your own diddums]), a grafitti workshop with a local artist, joy rides, and much more. Entry to the show is FREE! So come down to the skate park and let's get shaky.
